In her comments she mentioned that she didn&#8217;t know what the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joann.com\/heidi-swapp-minc-foil-applicator-starter-kit\/14195168.html#pmax=200&amp;q=MINC%2BFoil%2Bapplicator&amp;prefn1=prod_type&amp;pmin=100&amp;prefv1=Product&amp;start=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MINC Foil Applicator<\/a> was. I explained, but realized not everyone is going to have one of these fabulous machines. (Plus they&#8217;re a bit pricey.) BUT\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joann.com\/heidi-swapp-minc-reactive-foil-12.25inx10-roll\/zprd_14195135a.html#q=Minc%2Bfoil&amp;start=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">foil<\/a> isn&#8217;t expensive. (JoAnn&#8217;s sells it for $9.99 a roll.) So I thought about\u00a0what project I could do with the foil but not the machine.<\/p>\n<p>Craft Magic hit me. I remembered this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.damasklove.com\/easy-rose-gold-foiled-pencil-cup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> from DamaskLove.com about using the foil on double-sided tape to decorate a pencil cup. That got me thinking that I could do something similar with holiday cards. So for today&#8217;s htgawcrafting project, I am making DIY Holiday Cards with a Touch Of Foil &#8211; sans the machine. Instead, we&#8217;ll use tape to apply the foil, no heat!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Supplies to Make DIY Holiday Cards with a Touch Of Foil<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.silhouetteamerica.com\/shop\/machines\/cameo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Silhouette\u00a0CAMEO<\/a> cutting machine<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.silhouettedesignstore.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Silhouette Design\u00a0Store<\/a> &#8211;\u00a0Holiday designs<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.joann.com\/heidi-swapp-minc-reactive-foil-12.25inx10-roll\/zprd_14195135a.html#q=heidi%2Bswapp%2Breactive%2Bfoil&amp;start=1\">Heidi Swapp Reactive\u00a0Foil in<\/a>\u00a0Red, Gold, Green and Teal<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xyron.com\/en-US\/Products\/Sticker-Maker\/1-5--Sticker-Maker\/1-5in-Sticker-Maker_XRN150\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Xyron Sticker Machine<\/a> (I used the 9in sticker maker)<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thermowebonline.com\/p\/memory-tape-runner-xl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thermoweb Memory Tape Runner<\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wermemorykeepers.com\/default.aspx?PageID=956&amp;CategoryID=800&amp;ProductID=12481&amp;ItemID=14139&amp;RootCatCode=08000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Crop-O-Dile Corner Chomper Tool<\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Cardstock<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"p1\">Steps<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Step 1:<span class=\"s1\">\u00a0Open a new document in your Silhouette Studio\u00ae software.\u00a0Adjust your paper settings for 8.5 x 11.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Step 2: Divide your paper into 4 even rectangles &#8211; 4.25 x 5.5. These will become\u00a0your card fronts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Step 3: Visit the Silhouette store and download any holiday designs you like. Once you download your Silhouette or custom designs, place them on your cards. Also cut a plain piece of cardstock into 4 matching pieces. Adhere them with a tape runner. You could also run the card through a sticker maker and then add it to the foil. If it&#8217;s a little misaligned, that&#8217;s okay, just trim your card so it&#8217;s even.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Step 10: \u00a0Use your Crop-a-Dile to round the corners. You have come super cute and simple Holiday cards. Feel free to decorate the fronts and backs of your cards.
